Born of Adversity, In true Montana fashion, Burlyman Builders started when founder, Tom Attard, was laid off by his good friend and boss, Russ Agin, when their largest project to date fell though."You can use the shop and have all the scrap wood under the chop saw, if you can think of anything to make out of it." Is all Russ could say, and with that statement, Burlyman Creations was born.
Designing and creating custom projects has led Burlyman Creations from its humble woodworking beginnings, to become one of Missoula 's most sought after design-build construction companies. More than an ordinary general-contracting construction company, Burlyman Creations (or BC Design), draws from years of experience bringing customer's dreams to life by designing and creating one-of-a-kind projects. Starting with cutting boards and bird houses, and graduating to custom furniture, full home finish carpentry, and cabinet installation, BC Design Now manages luxury kitchen remodels, dream master bathroom design builds, full-home redesign and remodel, and custom home creation and construction.
Founder and owner, Tom Attard is a 4th generation Montanan "junk- artist", who believes making something out of nothing, is the only way of life in Montana. BC Design values integrity, conservation, ingenuity, creativity, and hard-work. These ideals were imparted from a great-grandfather, who pulled quarter-sawn oak rocking chairs out of the Choteau, MT farm dump, to make fiddles with a hand-drawn plan. This history has fostered the same spirit of creativity and ingenuity that is still alive today in BC Design.
